The Sherman Police Regional Pipe Band is back, practicing tunes and preparing for an all new season. If you have always wanted to learn the Highland Bagpipes or is Highland drumming is your thing make, plans to join us. Currently we are holding practice at 6:30 PM, Thursdays at the North Park Baptist Church, located at 2605 Rex Cruse Dr in Sherman TX. The Sherman Police Regional Pipe Band is a service pipe & drum band in the Texoma area. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to performing traditional bagpipe music to honor our community and those that serve.
We are a dynamic and growing band with both short term and long term goals. This is truly a community pipe band made up of people that live and work in Sherman and Denison as well as the North Texas area. We are a mixture of pipers at many different skill levels. All we ask is that you come, willing to improve and to take the music seriously. There is a lot of fun and satisfaction that comes from being a part of a great group.
You do not have to be in law enforcement to join. New and experienced players are always welcome. We have members that come to Sherman from Rowlett and McKinney to play with the band. Please contact the band, and we’ll fit you in.
The Sherman Police Regional Pipe Band is a non-profit organization but we do have experienced professional solo pipers available for parties weddings, funerals and other special events. To hire a piper or the entire band for your next event, please click “Contact Us” for more information.
